Spel/Game/Igra
It is a conceptual artwork using the game as a medium.
As a game it leans upon tradition of the wooden, skill based board games, with additional brainteasing aspect of playing with words.
As an artwork it investigates the identity in relation to nationality, while the languages are used to address the borders between.
It is structured on the 300 words that are same or almost the same in all three languages, printed on the 300 three sided prisms. Words of every language are printed in different tone of the same color. This way, players are offered to play the game in their language, or to let loose their language identity since they can understand meanings in two other languages and dedicate themselves to the entertainment of playing.
Swedish is used because of the exhibition location, English as the dominant mediator in the contemporary society and Croatian since its authors native language.
