Social reality

This work represents a contemporary attempt to make a portrait of an artist generated by his context. It works on the boundary between social and personal identity.
It starts with the three trips to artist's family home done by almost unknown people. These people had to make three short video clips each, of the things/people/places that they think represent person who sent them on this quest. The videos were predetermined by following rules: three minutes each, one still frame shot, chosen object shouldn't been displaced from its original location and microphone has to be on while recording. These recordings were accompanied with documentary photos. On the return, each "traveller" was interviewed.
Realization of this work is in a form of a limited edition booklet including performative writing, transcript of the interviews, documentary photos and DVD collection of the video clips.

Special thanks to Dylan Atkins, Stuart Elliot and Jeremy Wood.
