Impression_Impact

Impression_Impact is a video exploring the concept of image and movement in the most general sense, i.e. their appearance in the nature. The images and movements in the video are based on the negation of the same. Movement is attributed to meditative motionless of the person. It demonstrates the Earth movement by means of the shadow that is shaped by the light. At the same time, this shadow indicates the absence of light that is the mere negation of visibility, there so image. The presentation of the whole action is attributed by observation of the negative image. Because of accentuation of the non-image and intensification of the contrast, the video is black-and-white.
Impression_Impact is the theme of video. It enquires the relation of impression and transmission of the same into impact. The image of the experience is reduced to two projections. The shadow of tree gradually passes over the human’s shadow, and it impresses only one, out of two separated impressions on.
Duration of this process and the video is 25 minutes.
